Health Policies

The Health Room is staffed by an aide who is NOT a registered nurse. If your child becomes ill or is injured in school, basic first aid care will be provided, and parents/guardians will be notified. You may be asked to pick up your child. If you are unable to, please inform the school as to who your designee will be.

Children with fever, diarrhea, or vomiting need to be symptom free for 24 hours without medication before returning to school. Children with head lice should be treated with medicated shampoo and be free of live lice before returning to school.

Please inform the school of any special health conditions including asthma, allergies, heart condition, reactions to medication, and any other information you feel is pertinent.

Any changes in phone numbers, addresses, and emergency contacts should be updated immediately with the health aide. Please acquire a local phone number (as we are charged for long distance calls). Please help us keep accurate information for the safety of your child.
