Web Accessibility

Pu'uhale is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone, and actively pursuing AA compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0.

The Hawaii Department of Education (HIDOE) recognizes the importance of ensuring our website is accessible to those with disabilities. We are committed to making our information accessible to visitors with disabilities and are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website.

The website endeavors to conform to the current versions of W3C’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and the Web Accessibility Initiative Accessible Rich Internet Applications Suite (WAI-ARIA).

We are continually seeking solutions that will bring all areas of the website up to the same level of overall web accessibility. In the meantime, should you experience any difficulty in accessing our website, please contact us by sending an email to: [email protected].

Any person who believes that HIDOE has discriminated against them because of their disability and thus violated Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and/or Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) may file a grievance with HIDOE by contacting:
